Operation Rudoplh gets under way

Ready to go . Santa Arrives ready to start the cruise. Santa's helps are Nikki and Jenny. Nikki is in the car club (on the Left) and has wanted to go for a ride in the Caddy.

My mate Les Cavenagh Jr got to meet Santa, his other wish was to ride in one of the big Fire trucks, that wish was granted thanks to Fireman Mike. Little Les and Mum Cheryl joined Fireman Mike for most of the Cruise. Les Sr had to call mates and the RACQ as the old Fairlane did not like the heat and had several road side stops.
Dinner break at the Campus Shopping Centre, new Santa's helpers and Santa joined the procession as three hours in the heat and sunburn were by now taking there toll . But we had to carry on. We restocked the lollies and drinks and on through the Northern beaches to finally finish in Palm Cove around 9 pm.

Mustang update

Clean low milage car. 302 V8 auto with drum brakes, we will have to fix that.
Can we get them all like this from now on Ted (Our work shop manager asking Ted).
This car runs well a good tune up and a way we go. It will not take much mechanically to get this one it's a runner.

The Orange mustang should be back in the workshop today, ready to start the process of being put back together. I will get pictures today.

Our new 59 Cadillac Coupe De Ville is missing in Brisbane some were... How can you lose a seven metre car???? It looks from the pictures to be in good condition still we will see when it arrives. If it is in good nic we will use it left hand drive straight away.

Last Thusday the boys started to strip the 71 Mustang convertible, it is in fantastic condition, no rust and very clean. New colour will by red with black and red trim.

Big Weekend

We had a big weekend with both Caddy's and the Mustang out doing formals on Thursday and Friday night. The pink Caddy did two formals on Friday.

Saturday sore the pink Caddy doing a formal and I did a wedding in the white one. We had 5 bookings for the white caddy but because of the rain 4 were postponed.

Sunday we did a bridal show all day at the Cairns Colonial Club Resort. Booked several weddings and made lots of new contacts.

Sorry but I did not take any pictures.

Day out

I had a great day out last Sunday with a mate and his wife from Melbourne. I took them up to the Tablelands and we had a ball, visited Skybury Coffee Plantation,Warbirds museum, and the Cyrstal Caves to name a few places.
I have been looking forward to Cappys visit since he told me that he and wife Faye were going to visit here. Cappy tells me he will be back, I think they fell in love with Cairns and Port.
