Day two and the judges verdict

Best Ford was taken by the Mustang.
The Falcon was the only late Ford and more Commodores than you can poke a stick at. Beaten by a 2007 Caprice?????

Day one Cairns Auto Spec

Motor is finally finished now all dressed up and looks a treat. Shame that we are starting again in a few weeks still I have been waiting to fit a turbo to the car for a long time.

The 66 was a hit with everyone, it has lots of competition though there are lots of Mustangs on display.

Day one is over and the cars were some of the first judged. It was very hot and humid in the hall, why do they run Car Shows at this time of year???

Super Cheap Promo Day Manunda

All the hard work and late nights were well worth it as the club and Super Cheap Manunda had a profitable day.
The Store had it's biggest day in over six months and the club made well over $500 on the day.
We have now been asked to do a day in every Super Cheap store in Cairns and Innisfail. The Manunda store has the lowest turn over of all the stores so we could made lots more at the other stores.
Super Cheap have also come on board as a club sponsor and we will do many promos together.

Day two of Preparation

This is how the rocker cover looked before I started on the rebuff. Today I received the Pole Position Auto Billet oil cap which looks so good on the rocker cover. In the pack from Jeff is some other goodies to go on the finished motor I will show you those later.

I arrived at Neils yesterday around two in the afternoon and started work on the rocker cover, after hours of work it was finished. Neil did the final polish and now all that is needed is to seal the cover to stop it oxidising like it did.
Extractors cleaned and painted ready to go back. Ceramic alloy finish.
Squeaker hard at work on the rocker cover. Get that camera out of me face.......
Rocker cover, Thermostat housing and base re polished and ready for sealing. We have done the cold air alloy pipes and silicone blue pipes as well.
We finished the night by fitting the new power steering switch removing the power steering pump for painting and the surport bracket for polishing. Next time we intend to test fit the turbo to make should we do not have the modify anything.
This morning I am sore everywhere arms back and legs from all the bending over the polishing wheels.
