Cruise for Bravehearts 2008

Frontier Ford will never be the same again. We feed over 120 hungry people today
The Day started with an interview for Channel Seven News and Radio ones for 4CAFM Cairns and 531 Innisfail. We did three Crosses as we headed South to Innisfail.
It's not every day you get to park in a New Car Showroom and have your cars picture taken with the Ford Corporate Wall as a backdrop. Cost $5 to Bravehearts, cheap really
What a day this one has been. Just Awesome lots of cars and People everywhere we when. Police Escorts and all. We will have the final amount raised but I would think it will be over $500.
Special Thanks to Mark Smith from Frontier Ford, Dayles Whyte aka "The Sheriff" and our club members for making this day a great sucess.

Galaxie Update 9th April

Not long to go now, we are now waiting on the Upholstery and it's ready
New Wheels look good.
The crew are getting better with each car. The exhaust note on the Gal is awesome.
First seat back and if it looks like it came out of a EA Falcon you are right. I do not think they came in white Leather though.

Last Night

Last night the Car Club had a small get together at the Balaclava Hotel for dinner. Lots of fun and a good time was had by all.

The Botanical Ark Whyanbeel FNQ

Some times doing my job you get to go to some amazing places and meet some fascinating people. Yesterday I had the pleasure to take the McDowell and Bauer families to the Botanical Ark in Whyanbeel. Both couples are from the southern states of the USA. Mrs McDowell is the sister of the current US ambassador to Australia and is involved in the Local Botanical Gardens in Tennessee and has an amazing garden of her own .
The botanical Ark last year won Australia's best back yard and after viewing it I can understand why. The owners Alan and Susan Carle are leaders in Tropical plants and travel the world in search of new food and fruit plants for the garden, also on site is only the second privately owned Quarantine facility in Australia. After a couple of hours sampling the fruits etc. it was time to check out the gardens. If you think lemon cheesecake is good you should try the one I had yesterday the fruit was from the Amazon and it was unbelievably good.
What an amazing place has been created by the Carles, it is a labour of love for them and has been a life time job creating this amazing place. If you get the chance go visit it.
